Brought to you by Whitsunday Running Club is the 13th Annual 28.7k Run the Great Whitsunday Trail 2019; the 3rd Annual 57.4k Ultra; and the 2nd Annual 10.5k Honeyeater Challenge.
The timeline for the weekend is as follows:
Saturday 14th September
7.00am – Park Run: Abell Point Marina
3.00pm – 6.00pm – Race pack collection and merchandise tents: Western end Airlie Beach Lagoon/Broadwater Ave
Sunday 15th September
5.00am – 6.00am – Late race pack collection for 28.7k and Honeyeater Challenge, Airlie Beach Lagoon carpark, Broadwater Ave
5.00am – RACE START, Airlie Beach Lagoon
6.30am – Board bus, Airlie Beach Lagoon for transport to start
7.15am – Race Briefing
7.30am – RACE START
NOTE: All 28.7k runners MUST board the bus at the Lagoon Carpark (western end of the lagoon). Private car drop-off is NOT permitted
There are toilets at the start line.
10.5km Honeyeater Challenge
7.30am – RACE START, Airlie Beach Lagoon
All Races/Runners: Finish at the Airlie Beach Lagoon.
At Airlie Beach lagoon you can relax, enjoy and celebrate your finish with the following activities on offer:
– Take a refreshing dip in the beach or lagoon
– Massage will be available – $1 per minute
– Celebrate with friends and mingle with other runners with a pop-up bar from 12noon
– Enjoy a BBQ and fruit lunch
– Coffee van
– Play area for kids
Presentations will be held as soon as possible after each event is completed.
