When: Saturday, 27 January 2018
Where: Bowen Foreshore

Here’s something very different to entertain you over the Australia Day Long Weekend in the Whitsundays. Head ’em up, move ’em out, to the Rodeo By The Reef on the Bowen Foreshore on Saturday, 27 January.

What could be more Australian than a rodeo to celebrate our outback heritage and our national holiday? You will get to witness world-class bull riding, bronco riding and barrel races surrounded by the magical vista of the Whitsundays region.

Feast on delicious smoked barbecued meats and test your own riding skills on the mechanical bull competition. With live music, food stalls and much, much more, it promises to be a hoot and great day out for the family.

The Rodeo by the Reef will also include the Whitsundays’ inaugural BBQ by the Reef event, which will see teams battle it out in a “cook off” for more than $8,000 in cash and prizes.

Mosey on down to the Bowen Foreshore, Dalrymple Street from 5pm to 10.30pm.

Entry: Adults $20, Children $15 and Family of 4 $50. For more information and tickets visit Whitsundays Tourism
